Had the pleasure of taking my wife here for dinner. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. The food was cooked perfect and tasted amazing. We can't wait to come back!
Absolutely delicious! The food, the staff , the wine list and atmosphere, perfection! I highly recommend the beet salad as well as the Rigatoni Bolognese! The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection. The wine list is dreamy! I didn’t have the space for desert so I can’t comment , but sure it’s great! The owner , Ted, class act , treats you so well. If you’re in Bean town, get to Lucca on the North End you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back !!!
One star for atmosphere. Food is not bad but not great either, bland and dry for the most part. The service is sub par , very slow and rude . We had to ask for bread and they were like oh ya we can give you bread. Waiter would walk by without responding to our calls. We just wanted some extra cheese 😭. They have these little plastic dividers between tables which I don't think they do much for covid really but they're nice for noise control. I kinda like that the waiters all wear masks and gloves . I think all restaurants should do that regardless of a national pandemic , it's just more hygienic .
My friend and I stopped in for a quick drink (read, shots 😁) after dinner yesterday evening. Our server welcomed us warmly and sat us quickly. The ambiance is really cozy and chill, and the lighting is romantic. We had to go right after, so we got up to pay. In the life that is Covid, wearing a mask can be tough, basically because it can get forgotten. I am unsure if she was the hostess, but she came up to and us and kindly gestured to remind me of my mask. The kind hostess apologized, explaining that the restaurant had rules they needed to follow. I haven't been out, really, since covid began, so being gestured to put on my mask, was off-putting; ha, I was confused at first! In any case, I wanted to leave this review that the service was impeccable and the staff were all very kind. I will definitely go there again, and with covid still hanging around, I appreciate the restaurants efforts to keep their patrons and employees safe.
Lucca's was so very good! We didn't have a reservation but they immediately accommodated us. We also had our baby with us but it was no problem. Our waiter was amazing! He knew the menus very well. The Espresso Martini was so delicious. The food was superb. We really enjoyed our visit to Lucca's and we will visit again if we are in the area.
Elegant restaurant with delicious italian cuisine. We were seated by open windows and even had a street performer play a song on his violin!!
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received this evening tonight at Lucca. I have been coming here for many years, and I have never experienced such an attitude like I received tonight. Sadly, there has been a preconceived notion regarding our party which is not the standard of Lucca. Not only were we rushed, we were treated extremely poorly by not only our server but particularly our manager. I am sad to see a local north end establishment treat their beloved customers so badly, but especially make a mockery of folks who are loyal. I can’t believe this, and the bottom line here is I am sad to cross Lucca off my list. I am so upset about this incident and I firmly believe this situation should be rectified. Again, the North End is a place filled with good situations, but with that said Lucca has failed me, and my party and I will not hesitate to pass this along. Attitudes, are important in this conceivable life, but this was absolutely unacceptable.
Will definitely make a point of having dinner there next time we're in town.Lucca is great for dining in, or takeout. I'll run here from my apartment in the pouring rain, in winter, just to get a warm comforting meal to eat at home with a movie. All was excellent, service was good and friendly. Valet parking is available ($40 for an SUV - bring your smaller car if possible!)
The service was excellent and the people were really nice and accommodating, especially for our young kids. Didn't seem overly busy on a Saturday night. Food was good. Would highly recommend the garlic and mozzarella bread side - very yummy! Risotto appetizer was good enough for almost a whole meal and the children's pizza was delicious.
Bad panna cotta and chocolate cake.
Great service vice Fantastic delicious food we enjoyed everything if u haven't gone yet make sure u get there atmosphere is great also
I recently had an excellent dining experience at Lucca. I was there for my anniversary, and what a special night! The food is phenomenal, as are the drinks. I had the fish of the day (Halibut), figs and prosciutto, and a Laphroaig 16 year that blew my mind. The service was amazing, our server was extremely kind and really seemed to be having a blast on the job! I also noted some seriously cool European sounding electronic music they had playing in the background. It is pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for. To all my guys out there, take your woman (or man) out here for a special night in the north end. If management is reading, we will be back!
Probably one of the best restaurants I've been too in a long time. The Manager was awesome. Had a very nice conversation with him. He sent us an after dinner drink when he found out it was my Anniversary. The food was fabulous. The next time in Boston, I found my ne favorite restaurant in the North Boston area. Please take my advice, if in the area, try this place out. You wont regret it.
I had a phenomenal time here. The bartender Katie Mae (sp?) sooo fun! She was busy but still anticipated every need. I would return just for her great service and smile.
Good food. Nice staff. Minus on our table not being ready on arrival so we had to wait 1 hr.
Very nice staff, food was very good. We had a gift certificate. Everyone was nice. Good experience. Food is great quality.
7-10-2019 8:00 p.m. The real deal; Real Italian food. Delicious rigatoni. White table cloth and dinning ambiance.
It was a very good experience. Went for a business dinner. Best things I saw were Tagliatelle which we ordered to share. I ordered the Salmon which while sounding boring was pretty special. We took the servers recommendation on the wines and they are both Italian and awesome.
The appetizers are excellent. Cannot say the same about the main course though. We ordered a bunch of pastas, most of which had its own problems. Some were overcooked, some were overseasoned. Might as well save your money and spent it on appetizers instead.
Wonderful, outrageous, some of the best Italian I've ever eaten.
Really good food and attentive service. Our waiter split our shared appetizer in the kitchen before bringing out without us asking. It's these little things through the whole night that made his service very appreciated. Good wine list. Make a reservation.
Good attention, nice ambiance, music and drinks were good and the chicken was great! Risotto was good but the best...get a side of the garlic mozzarella bread!! Will definitely go back!
A phenomenal date night. The service is absolutely above and beyond, with super friendly staff that make sure you have everything you need. The food is top notch cuisine. We had the fromaggio starter, and seafood. All of which was delicious to perfection. Would recommend without hesitation for a lovely dinner out.
High end restaurant in the North-End, but not an Italian experience.I came to this restaurant as part of a corporate event where we took our customers after they came to visit. The food was good and the service was pretty good too... but, this is not an Italian place, despite the name, and it is pretty expensive. If you are looking for an Italian experience in the North End, go somewhere else.
Amazing service and delicious food!
This restaurant was absolutely incredible. The service was amazing and the hostess and servers were extremely polite. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was impeccable. I will definitely be returning my next visit to the Boston area.
The wife and I made reservations. Showed up a little early. No problem. Promptly seated by the hostess. Our server was polite and on point. Appetizers were great. Duck confit was ridiculous. Ravioli house-made beet purée and mascarpone ravioli with snow peas, roasted local beets, toasted almonds and chive butter was awesomeBaked Orecchiette “Little ear” shaped pasta baked with house made chicken sausage, broccolini, San Marzano tomatoes, fontina crema, toasted bread crumbs and white truffle oil. So much that we took half home and demolished it. Killer killer food. Good service, nice prices, nice wine selection. There was some copy and paste of the menu... at the end of the day...go...you won't regret it.
Absolutely Amazing!!Food & Drinks Amazing!!The owner is also Amazing & very friendly!!(unfortunately I did not get his name, but a very nice gentleman)
Great service and ambiance. You can enjoy a delish meal with a big group of friends. (Make sure to make reservation beforehand)
Great service, good foods. My pork roast is perfect, tender and juicy.
The staff at the bar is the best a place can have, drinks are good, but they should be taken as an example of good bartending dynamics and customer service. Bravo!
The food was buttery and did not taste Italian.
Was very pleasant. Lovely beet salad starter and a tasty gluten free ragu to follow. Could have managed a larger portion. Great cab (Aviary). Overall a bit pricey at $143 but a nice eating experience.
Prosciutto and duck apatisers were excellent. Great cocktails and wine list. My rigatoni was excellent.
Very good food, we shared a Statler chicken that was cooked perfectly and a pasta in a carrot puree. The interior was warm and inviting, but a little crowded and loud. Wait staff was professional and friendly.
The service here is top notch. The food is good, but I wasn’t wowed. There are a handful of other places in the North End that I’d rather go to, but I certainly wouldn’t turn my nose up at this place. It’s not bad, just not amazing like some of the other establishments around.
Loved the restaurant. Great pasta!
A very nice place to have dinner. The dishes are wonderful.
Delicious lobster gnocchi, lovely green spinach and white bean with olive oil dip for great bread. Nice glass of Chardonnay. Pricey
Good service. I liked my pear salad
A little pricey but absolutely delicious with fantastic service. Make sure to make a reservation well ahead of time or you’ll have about a 2 hour wait since it’s a popular spot. If you can’t decide on a pasta entree, ask if you can do two half portions.
Had a group of 15 and they provided great food and service. Had 6 different appetizers and would recommend the short rib. The lobster pasta was great too.
Yummy, upscale Italian in the heart of Little Italy. Fresh pastas were great, but the focaccia and basil hummus dip were served straight out of the fridge.
I come to this unique place every couple of days because I like the ambiance that is part of this place. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably attentive and professional. The service is certainly rapid. Not to mention, the food they prepare is good. I have been there more than once and I was always delighted. The pay is honest. I highly suggest this place to my friends and family.
Italian restaurants on Boston's North End! Their meatballs are the best anywhere. Service is top-notch! They changed their garlic cheese bread recipe and now its too doughy. They need to change it back to the original recipe. Their main dishes are very good.
The best!! Everyone's meals were delicious. The service was outstanding! Highly recommend:)
Great Italian food.
This restaurant is my preferred one. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The team is very warm and the cooking they serve is so yummy. I am always happy to have a decent dinner in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.
STOLE MONEY.We came here to eat after a concert at the garden. Unfortunately the garden does not take cash (keep reading). The restaurant was not too busy for a Friday night so we grabbed dinner with our friends, we ate, paid the tab and left. About 5-10 minutes after leaving we realized my husband had forgot his wallet. He went back to get it and was told he left it on the table. His cash was gone, I called and spoke with the manager to ask about the cash. He laughed and was extremely rude. I get it, don’t leave your wallet places but why steal money and then lie about it?
The food, atmosphere, the service, and Bartender makes a mean Old fashion.
